A platform for water
and infrastructure
development

Over four decades integrating international technology, multidisciplinary expertise and structured financing to deliver solutions where they are needed most.

Who We Are

Not a conventional consultancy —
an integrated development platform for water and infrastructure

MK Ambiente — Mundo K-Ambiente, C.A. — is a Venezuelan firm specialised in the development, structuring and financing of complex water, environmental and hydraulic infrastructure projects. Founded over four decades ago, the company has built a track record spanning desalination, potable water systems, environmental sanitation, agricultural water management and industrial water supply.

What distinguishes MK Ambiente is its integration model: we do not act as a conventional engineering firm. We function as development integrators — coordinating technology suppliers, specialist engineering partners, regulatory compliance and structured financing within a single, coherent mandate. We bring the right parties together and ensure the project gets done.

Our work spans governments, state-owned enterprises, multinational corporations and development institutions. In every case, the objective is the same: infrastructure that is technically sound, financially viable and built to last.

"We integrate experience, world-class technology and financing capability to transform water resources into lasting development outcomes."

Mission, Vision
and Values

Mission
Our Purpose

To structure and deliver technically rigorous, financially viable and environmentally sustainable water and infrastructure solutions — integrating international technology partners, specialist expertise and financing capability to meet the needs of governments, industries and communities across emerging economies.

Vision
Where We Are Going

To be the leading integrated development platform for water and environmental infrastructure in Venezuela, the Caribbean and Latin America — recognised for technical rigour, proven project execution and the ability to structure complex solutions under international standards in markets where global firms have limited reach.

Values
How We Work

Technical excellence and intellectual honesty. Long-term partnerships over transactional engagements. Institutional transparency and accountability. Sustainable development as a non-negotiable standard. International discipline in every project — regardless of context or scale.

What Sets Us Apart

Four capabilities that
define our platform

Global Technology Access

Direct representatives of IDE Technologies (Israel), Balmoral Tanks (UK) and Protec Arisawa (France / Japan) — three world-leading suppliers in desalination, water storage and membrane systems. No intermediaries. No markup. Direct technical and commercial access.

Integrated Project Structuring

We structure technically sound, environmentally compliant and financially viable projects — from initial concept assessment through to bankable documentation suitable for ECA, bilateral and multilateral financing. Technology integration, compliance coordination and project finance in one mandate.

ECA & Bilateral Financing

Proven experience structuring Export Credit Agency financing and government-to-government bilateral loans. A capability virtually unique among regional water and infrastructure firms — enabling our clients to access international capital under favourable terms for large-scale projects.

Emerging Market Navigation

Operational experience in Venezuela, the Caribbean and Central America — markets with complex regulatory environments, constrained public budgets and limited technical capacity. We understand how to develop and deliver infrastructure that works in these contexts.

Areas of Specialisation

Ten sectors.
One integration platform.

We coordinate specialist partners, technology suppliers and financing institutions across the full spectrum of water and infrastructure — from resource assessment through to project commissioning and operational handover.
